Griffiths’s charges have made a superb start to the season with three wins from three league outings, bagging four goals in each game on their way to second place in the standings.

Wednesfield were running into form when the previous campiagn was curtailed due to the coronavirus, but Griffiths is refusing to make any bold predictions with regard to this season.

“We were in good form at the end of last season before the lockdown and we have started well this season,” said Griffiths.

“The strikers are in good form, scoring goals, and the midfield lads are chipping in as well.

“We are not getting carried away. We are pleased with out start, but it’s obviously still early days and we know all about the quality in this league.

“Shifnal, Dudley Town and Bilston are all good sides and I am led to believe that OJM Black Country have put together a strong side as well.

“We just want to make sure we are competitive and give a good account of ourselves in every game.”

Tomorrow’s other Premier Division clashes see Wolves Casuals host OJM Black Country, while Cradley are at home to Wolves Sporting and Smethwick Rangers travel to Shawbury.

In the Midland League Premier Division, Walsall Wood welcome Worcester looking to build on their 4-1 midweek success against Selston.

AFC Wulfrunians are at home to Heather St John’s, while Lye head to Newark on the back of two straight wins.

“It should be a good game against Bilston tomorrow. It’s a derby as well.

“I played for them when they won promotion back to the Premier Division in 2015.

“They have got a lot of good things in place there and have a good fan base.

“Dean has gone in this season and they are a strong outfit.

“Everyone is full of confidence at the moment and when you are winning it’s all hunky dory. Long may that continue.

“We didn’t add massively to the squad, we just added in the positions we needed and we have started well.
