Glassboys held, Scholars win
Stourbridge were held to a home draw by Nuneaton at the War Memorial Ground last night.
The Glassboys took the lead through Bradley Birch early on, only for Ravi Shamsi to earn the visitors a share of the spoils in front of 556 spectators.
Stour continued to knock on the door, but there was no way through – though they continue to remain top of the fledgling standings in the Southern Central Premier.
Chasetown made it two wins from two away games in Northern One South East after winning 3-1 at Shropshire side Market Drayton Town last night.
Joey Butlin’s 15th-minute opener was cancelled out by Jamie Hands, but parity last just three minutes until Butlin bagged his second of the evening.
It remained 2-1 all the way until the final minute of the match when Jack Langston completed the scoring for the Scholars.
