Stafford Rangers 0 Marine 0 - Match report
Relegation-haunted Stafford Rangers pocketed a point from a drab 0-0 draw in which visitors Marine had the bulk of the chances.
A strong wind and a bumpy surface set the tone with Danny Mitchley’s pair of speculative efforts all either side had to show for their first-half efforts.
Mitchley’s third attempt deflected narrowly wide off Danny Burns and the first moment of true quality did not arrive until after the break when Craig Carney’s blast was met with a flying save from Stafford keeper Adam Siviter.
Rangers looked marginally more threatening late on but Tom Thorley blazed over then Louis Briscoe drilled a 40-yard free kick just wide.
The result at least boosted to three points Stafford’s cushion over the drop zone with bottom three Mickleover Sports, Workington and North Ferriby United all losing.
