Stourbridge draw Kidderminster in FA Cup
Stourbridge have drawn Kidderminster Harriers in the third qualifying round of the FA Cup.
Boss Gary Hackett is expecting a tasty derby clash when the Glassboys entertain Harriers at the Memorial Ground on October 6.
It will be the first time both clubs have met in the competition since 2015, when Stourbridge beat Harriers 3-0 in the FA Cup fourth qualifying round.
One division separates both teams with Stourbridge playing in step seven, in the Northern Premier League, and Harriers in step six of the National League North.
Hackett said: "Kidderminster will be the favourites but it will be a tough game for both sides. Kidderminster are playing very well in the National North. But it will be a great derby and we are looking forward to it.
"Seven miles separates both teams so it is a proper local rivalry. I would like to think there will be a good crowd for the game."
Stourbridge beat Leamington 3-2 last Saturday (22) to reach this stage of the competition.
The Glassboys have had some memorable FA Cup runs in recent years, most notably in 2016/17 when they beat League One outfit Northampton 1-0 to reach the third round proper for the first time in their history.
And Hackett says there is always excitement around the camp when the FA Cup draws come out having tasted success previously.
"We have had some magnificent matches in the FA Cup over the last 10 years," he said. "Once you taste that you want more."
Meanwhile Hednesford will travel to Kettering Town at Latimer Park in the third qualifying round.
