FA Cup qualifying: Rushall Olympic 1 Potton United 0 - Report and pictures
A goal six minutes from time by substitute Stan Mugisha settled this scrappy tie in favour of the home side but they were pushed all the way by the visitors.
Chances were few and far between but on twenty one minutes a Kristian Scott through ball almost found Zak Lilly but quick thinking by visiting goalkeeper Will Cook saw him race off the line to clear the danger.
Most of the home side`s threats came from Scott`s set pieces and Joe Hull got on the end of another fine cross but headed straight at Cook. At the other end a mix-up in the defence saw Dan Crane`s attempted clearance charged down by Webb before being cleared.
Eight minutes before the break the visitors had a great chance when Aaron Murrell`s flick put Danny Webb clear but his attempted chip sailed over the bar.
The home side almost took the lead early in the second half when Dominic Dell forced a fine save from Cook and Andre Lavell saw his shot bounce off the top of the bar.
An early second half substitute for the home side saw Liam Lawrence and Stan Mugisha introduced into the action and six minutes from time they carved out the winning goal. A superb through ball from Lawrence picked out Mugisha who calmly fired past Cook to give the home side the lead.
Two minutes later with the visiting `keeper in the opposition penalty area and audacious attempt by Mugisha from within his own half but Cook just about got back
