Kidderminster HARRIERS put the seal on a busy week with a double transfer swoop which included the signing of former Albion youth team striker Andre Wright.

Wright, released by the Baggies at the end of last season, has signed a one-year deal at Aggborough and was in line to make his debut in today’s home game with Boston.

He was joined by Doncaster midfielder Will Longbottom, who has joined on a one-month loan deal, as Harriers made it three signings in the space of 24 hours following Thursday night’s loan capture of Huddersfield defender Fraser Horsfall.

That had followed the surprise exits of summer signings Liam Daly and Cieron Keane with the National League North season still less than a month old.

Harriers had entered the campaign hopeful of building on last year’s second-placed finish but a return of three wins and just four defeats in the opening seven games left them in the bottom half of the table, with club bosses acknowledging there were shortages in the squad which needed quickly addressing.

New boy Wright is already known to supporters having made his senior career debut while on loan at Aggborough two years ago. The 20-year-old finished last season on loan at Coventry in League One.
