John Eustace 'excited' to boss Kidderminster
John Eustace is 'very excited' to start the next chapter in his career after being named Kidderminster Harriers manager.
The Solihull-born 36-year-old made over 500 appearances as a player for clubs such as Stoke City, Watford and Derby County, but recently hung up his boots due to injury.
He will be tasked with getting the Aggborough outfit back into the National League's top-flight at the first time of asking next season.
Eustace said: "This is the next chapter of my football career and I'm very excited. I'm looking forward to getting going.
"It was a big decision for me to retire from playing, as it was something I'd done for 20 years, but this is the next step and something I've always wanted to do – the time has come."
Although it is his first managerial post, Eustace has spent a lot of time watching the Harriers squad this season and is looking forward to working with the club's young talent.
He added: "Kidderminster is one of the biggest clubs in non-league football and although the squad is young, it is also very exciting and that's great.
"I'm looking forward to working with them and watching some of them progress for next season, both on and off the field."
