They won a throw-in straight from the kick-off. where full-back Kristian Green managed to square the ball across the face of Frickley's goal for the league's leading marksman Karl Hawley to convert.
They could have won it from a 77th-minute corner when central defender Dan Scarr saw his goal-bound header punched out by Seb Malkowski.
The ball fell for Hawley, but somehow Malkowski made a point-blank save to turn the ball over.
Five minutes into stoppage time, Frickley striker Jacob Hazel found himself free in front of goal, but goalkeeper Gould managed to pull off a vital save right at the death.
