Report: Whitby 1 Rushall Olympic 3
Rushall Olympic made it back to back wins as they came away from Whitby Town with three welcome Evo-Stik Premier points.
But they were perhaps fortunate that Kieran Morris was yellow-carded instead of being sent off.
A scrappy first 20 minutes saw both sides struggle to get into any kind of passing rhythm on a heavy pitch.
But the first real chance of the game resulted in a goal for the Pics.
Jake Heath played through Zak Martin, who was thwarted by Shane Bland only for Josh McKenzie to slot home the rebound on 25 minutes.
McKenzie should have made it 2-0 seconds later but, after going through one on one could only drive the ball onto the legs of Bland.
The miss proved costly as, on 33 minutes, the Seasiders pulled level when Matthew Waters slotted in underneath debutant Kieran Preston.
Straight from kick-off, Morris was perhaps lucky to see only yellow when he fouled as the last man.
And Rushall were back in front less than 60 seconds into the second half as Alex Reid slammed home his third goal in three games.
Four minutes later, Reid's shot took a big deflection off Richard Pell and floated into the top corner to make it 3-1.
