Salford City 0 Stourbridge 1
A Justin Richards solo effort on 71 minutes gave Stourbridge a great victory against second-placed Salford City.
Richards cut into the area and curled his shot into the left hand corner of the net to settle the game away from home.
A tense encounter could have gone either way but it was, perhaps, the sending off of Salford's Jordan Hulme that was perhaps crucial.
He got a straight red on 27 minutes after going in late on goalkeeper Charlie Price. before that Salford had come closest when Gareth Seddon lobbed just over from 22 yards.
After the break, Stourbridge threatened to take advantage of the extra man, but Karl Hawley and Chris Lait were off target. Lait then saw a shot kicked off the line before Richards broke the deadlock.
Stourbridge defended well in the last 20 minutes and needed to late on, as Salford became desperate. Price saved from Danny Webber and Steve O'Halloran saw a shot blocked on the line.
Meanwhile, Stourbridge completed the signing of former Cheltenham, Port Vale and Shrewsbury winger Ashley Vincent ahead of last night's game.
