The teenager has impressed since arriving at Marston Road on loan and scored twice in Rangers' 3-0 victory over Carlton Town on Saturday.

He initially joined on loan in October, which was than extended until January after the first month, but his temporary terms expired on Sunday.

Harriers, who are clearing the decks as they desperately try to avoid relegation from the National League, had him under contract until the end of the season.

They took him to Aggborough after he was released by Premier League club West Brom last summer, where he'd been since the age of 14.

Progressing through the ranks, he completed a two-season scholarship and featured for the Baggies' Under-18 side over four years.

Cater will now remain in non-league's fourth tier but Rangers, who are 12 points, look to be going up from the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League First Division South.
