Stourbridge 2 Ramsbottom United 3
Stourbridge missed the opportunity to push on towards the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League play-off picture.
Gary Hackett's side slipped to defeat against bottom-of-the-table Ramsbottom United, who picked up their first away victory of the season.
They suffered a largely-frustrating first period despite a quick start to proceedings.
Karl Hawley fired straight at goalkeeper Grant Shenton in the sixth minute before Ben Billingham rattled the woodwork with an inswinging free-kick from the right flank on 15 minutes.
A breakaway kick from Shenton on the half-hour-mark found Aaron Smith behind the Stourbridge defence and although his shot was saved by goalkeeper Charlie Price, Jordan Bove followed up to score.
Stour toiled for large parts of the second half as they tried to get back in the game, but failed to create clear-cut chances.
But they were back in the game through a strong strike from Leon Broadhurst on 75 minutes and, at this stage, were looking to win the game.
Ramsbottom substitute Danny Wilkins had other ideas though.
Just five minutes after he got on, headed home at the far post from a corner before firing low past Price seven minutes later, leaving Stourbridge a mountain to climb.
Justin Richards gave the Glassboys hope a minute later with a drive into the net, but it proved too close to the end for them to snatch an equaliser.
