Harriers confirm Styche's Macc move
Kidderminster Harriers have confirmed the expected exit of striker Reece Styche to Macclesfield Town on loan.
The 26-year-old has moved on an initial deal which will run until January. His departure had been widely anticipated.
Cash-strapped Harriers, who currently sit bottom of the National League Premier and have yet to win a game this season, want to free up funds.
Speaking about the deal earlier this week, head coach Dave Hockaday admitted "tough decisions" were being made in order to ensure the club's long-term future.
He said: "We have to balance the books and we are having to take tough decisions. Nobody is making these decisions because they want to but they are necessary.
"The most important thing is the club survives."
A Gibraltar international, Styche has failed to hit the heights since joining Harriers in July 2014.
The former Forest Green Rovers man netted just three goals last season and ended the campaign on loan at Tamworth.
This term he has managed four in 17 and as one of the club's top earners is being moved out, to provide Hockaday with the chance to recruit.
For the meantime, Harriers remain dreadfully short on options on the forward line.
Callum Hassan having left earlier this week after the club admitted they did not have the means to finance a deal.
Hockaday has, at least, been boosted by the return of Gurjit Singh to fitness. The club's joint top scorer alongside Styche is expected to start tomorrow's game with Woking.
