Rushall had the better of the first-half, but were unfortunate to go behind having created the more clear-cut chances.

Lee Beeson's superb 25-yard free-kick gave Grantham the lead in the 25th minute, after Gavin Caines committed a needless foul.

Their advantage lasted just three minutes as Jamie Smith played Alex Reid in down the line and the winger pulled the ball back for Luke Benbow to grab his second in as many games.

Grantham Town: Turner, Meadows, Storey, Gorman, Humble (McGowan 88), Hollingsworth, Beeson (Kirby 63), Emmott, Ndlovu, Saunders, Read (Shaw 70).

Subs not used: Lewis, Bilyk.

Rushall Olympic: Coleman, Christophorou, Smith, Taylor, Duggan, Caines, Delaney (Fitzpatrick 73), Palmer (Townsend 80), Benbow, McGrath, Reid (Farquharson 70).

It should have been better for Rushall, but Caines missed a penalty after Reid had been downed by Gingerbreads' goalkeeper Jake Turner.

Jack Duggan's header hit the bar from Kris Taylor's corner, as Rushall tried to grab the lead before half-time.

It took the visitors just five minutes after the break to gain the lead, Taylor firing in a free-kick from 30 yards over Turner.

But the Pics failed to hold on when Lee Ndlovu nodded in Lawrence Gorman's cross on 68 minutes.
