The Dutchman's side are 10th in the Northern Premier Division, having enjoyed an extremely positive final two-and-a-half months to the campaign.

But he was also wary, stating that the project is still in its early days.

"Whether we reach that 70 points barrier or whether we finish with 66, we've done a remarkable job," the former-WBA man said.

"When you consider we've started from scratch, changed a lot of the personnel and the whole style of the club, it's been brilliant.

"The former manager here was getting 70-75 points, six years into the job, so I think we've done great.

"You also have to think what we can offer, if it was down to money we'd be near the bottom. We want these young, hungry ambitious lads here."

But Sneekes had a word of warning for those who assume the success will continue to rise next season.

"Other teams will strengthen, then you have the sides being relegated, this division will be very, very tough next year," he said.

"Look at Ilkeston, it's taken them five seasons to get here, Workington were relegated, FC Utd are an ambitious project.

"Just because we have the core of a good team here, doesn't mean we will automatically start challenging next season.

"We will always look to strengthen, especially in the summer, it's about the right player being available for your financial situation.

"But our key recently has been consistency, the same group of 18 have clicked and it's great to see."

Nantwich Town visit Dales Lane tomorrow in the Pics' final home game of 2014/15.

"We went there recently and they're much improved, a good footballing side that are still after points, it'll be a tough, tough game."
