The 27-year-old, a former team-mate of David Beckham in Los Angeles, will make his Yeltz debut at home to Lincoln United tomorrow providing paperwork is processed in time.

Birmingham-born Patterson, who began his career as an Albion trainee, moved to America in 2005 on a football scholarship and turned out for Galaxy three times in the MLS as well as figuring in friendlies against Barcelona and AC Milan.

He will provide cover at The Grove for leading scoring Ben Haseley, who faces another month on the sidelines with an eye injury.

Chairman Colin Brookes said: "Everything has been agreed between the clubs and the lad has signed for a month. The paperwork has been sent off and we're just waiting for confirmation that everything has gone through."

Since returning to England in 2010, Patterson has played for Hednesford, Tamworth, Nuneaton and Redditch.

Striker Nigel Penney (hamstring) and midfielder Jean-Michel Gueyes (ankle) face late fitness tests ahead of tomorrow's game.
