Stourbridge were today celebrating after smashing NINE goals past Chippenham Town.

Last night's 9-0 win over the Bluebirds was the Glassboys biggest ever away win in the Southern League.

Striker Ryan Rowe scored five while Luke Benbow and Sean Geddes – who also missed a penalty – got two each against a home side who had two men sent-off in the first half.

"You have certain nights when everything goes for you," said Glassboys boss Gary Hackett. "OK, we were helped by the sendings-off but I've got to say some of our play and the goals were outstanding. They beat us 1-0 at home and were a little bit cocky about it, so it was nice to get them back. The only downside is we only get three points for it."

Rowe put the Glassboys ahead from close range before the hosts saw Greg Tindle sent-off for a crude challenge on Geddes.

Stour then doubled their advantage through Rowe and Geddes added the third. Things only got worse for Chippenham who ended the half with just nine men when Ian Harvey was dismissed for handling the ball on the line – though Geddes' spot-kick was saved by home keeper Ben John. The hosts battled hard in the second period but a Geddes midway through the half was the first of six in 17 minutes as the Glassboys ran riot.
