The League Two outfit were due to visit Harriers' home in what would have proved a welcome warm-up for both sides.

But after a number of Doncaster players picked up injuries during Wednesday's friendly draw with Newcastle United at the Keepmoat Stadium.

Injuries blows to four first teamers, alongside previous injuries, means that Darren Ferguson is unable to field a side.

Harriers Managing Director Dave Pountney said: "To lose one of our key pre-season home games at such short notice is a blow to us.

"It affects us in terms of finances and our preparations at the stage of pre-season and this is something that is totally out of our control.

"We'd like to apologise to all of our supporters for any inconvenience caused."

Harriers will still be involved in action on Saturday, as the Worcestershire Senior Cup is scheduled for the same time, should John Eustace's side come through tonight's semi-final at Evesham United.
