Kidderminster Harriers loan Sam Hornby
Kidderminster Harriers have brought in one of the National League North's stand-out goalkeepers from last season after landing Sam Hornby.
The 21-year-old is joining on a season-long loan from Championship new-boys Burton, who have allowed him to be borrowed for a second time.
He enjoyed a fine spell at Brackley Town in non-league's second tier last season, winning the division's Player of the Month award for April.
He earned recognition from his own colleagues, too, with the Saints' management and players hailing him as their Player of the Season.
Harriers have now swooped to land a shot-stopper who spent time at Redditch United and Halesowen Town before landing a pro deal at the Brewers.
Hornby said: "It's a great opportunity, knowing Kidderminster will have the following they do and are full-time.
"I met the manager last week and it's very exciting at their place. They wanted an experienced goalkeeper, knowing I'm 21 and have already played 30-odd games in that league.
"I know I've got what it takes and I think I've got the ability at that level."
