Stourbridge hailed for show after the break

Assistant boss Jon Ford hailed Stourbridge's second half performance after three goals in the final half-an-hour earned them a vital win over Buxton.

Justin Richards, Karl Hawley and Dan Scarr were all on target as the Glassboys raised their game to secure a victory.

It keeps them in the thick of the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League play-off race.

Ford conceded Stour had been off the pace during the opening stages, as they struggled to adapt to wet and windy conditions at the War Memorial Ground.

And he pointed to a tactical change early in the second period as being key to their improvement.

He said: "We changed the system a bit in the second half to give us the extra man in midfield. We just didn't have the spark.

"We managed to raise the tempo another ten per cent and that is where we came strong in the end."
