Halesowen Town made it back-to-back away wins in a row with a three-goal first-half blast which saw off hosts Ilkeston 3-1.

It took just eight minutes for the Yeltz to take the lead after they had soaked up some early pressure in this Evo-Stik Northern Premier game – and it was a great goal.

A long free-kick was misjudged by the Ilkeston defence and Kaiman Anderson lifted the ball over goalkeeper Jamie Hannis and headed it into the empty net.

Anderson got the second on 27 minutes when Daniel Sweeney put a cross straight on to his head and he made no mistake.

Just three minutes later, Ashley Parsons-Smith produced great skill to wriggle into space on the edge of the box and strike a fierce effort which squeezed under Hannis at the near post.

Ilkeston did pull one back when Rose found Haydn Goddard, whose dangerous cross to the far post was converted by Dexter Atkinson.
