Colin Gordon: Time running out for Harriers
Boss Colin Gordon is confident Kidderminster Harriers can string a run of positive results together – but admits it may not be enough to save them from the drop.
Harriers go to Boreham Wood tomorrow 16 points adrift at the foot of the National League Premier table and looking to snap an eight-game losing streak.
Gordon, the club's chief executive who is also currently in charge of first-team affairs at Aggborough, has been encouraged by recent performances.
But he admits time is now against them in their survival bid, saying: "If we can go on a run that would be great, I know we are capable of doing that.
"It may not be enough in the end but the most important thing is for us to show fans we are improving and going in the right direction."
Gordon, who has continually stressed the need for a long-term plan since becoming majority shareholder of the cash-strapped club in November, already has one eye on next season.
He said: "It is key we get some of these players tied down for next season. The club has not been able to plan for the past few years and now we have the chance."
