Rushall Olympic 1 Mickleover Sports 0
Ten-man Rushall Olympic extended their winning home streak to five games with this FA Trophy success.
Rushall had the first effort of the game when Kris Taylor fired over the bar from 30 yards, after the ball sat up nicely.
Ross Atkins, in the Mickleover goal, did well to keep out Jack Duggan's header at his near post and then Michael Townsend headed over from the resultant corner.
The Pics took the lead on 27 minutes as Luke Benbow dispatched a penalty following a Nico Degirolamo handball.
Greg Pearson had the only effort of note for Mickleover, but Duggan got in the way to block his shot.
Jake Heath did well to fashion a chance out of nothing, but dragged his shot wide from just inside the box.
Goalkeeper Dean Coleman tipped over San Finlaw's goalbound corner before Mitchell Tolley sliced wide.
Atkins pulled off the save of the match to deny Tolley from a header – sticking out a glove to keep the score down to one.
Ethan Delaney forced an easier save from Atkins, but then got sent off on 73 minutes for violent conduct. Despite two late efforts from Andy Dales, Rushall held on to advance to the next round.
