September proved a tough month for Chasetown in the Evo-Stik First Division South, with two draws and three losses.

They also managed just two goals from those five outings – one in the 1-1 draw with Coalville Town in midweek – but Stringer insists his side have been playing well recently.

"There is a need for us to start scoring goals from massive opportunities," he said. "People who watch the games will know that we are playing extremely good football. We could have scored five against Coalville, these aren't half chances, these are full-blown opportunities."

Paul Sullivan will miss the game with an ankle injury, while Richard Davies is doubtful. New signing Joe Halsall will be in the squad.
