Stourbridge negotiated a tricky FA Cup tie at Tividale thanks to skipper Stuart Pierpoint's 28th-minute goal.

The Glassboys hit the woodwork twice but were grateful to Kristian Green for a late goal-line clearance, with goalkeeper Lewis Solly beaten.

Stour boss Gary Hackett was naturally pleased to see his side go into today's draw.

He said: "I am just happy to be in the hat, after what I thought was a good performance away from home.

"I think 1-0 flattered them a bit after we hit the bar and the post and had a few cleared off the line but, credit to Tividale, they had a chance at the end.

"There will probably be some shocks in the FA Cup this season, as always. But I don't think Tividale came close to providing one against us and I was pleased with the discipline of the players."

The winner came on 28 minutes when Leon Broadhurst's corner evaded everyone other than Pierpoint at the back post and he swept the ball home.
