Stourbridge 2 Barwell 3
Inconsistent Stourbridge slipped to defeat against Leicestershire visitors Barwell in a thrilling Evo-Stik Northern Premier League encounter at Amblecote.
The 3-2 defeat was probably about right on the balance of chances, with Barwell threatening to run away with the game in the first-half.
It was the Glassboys, however, who started the brightest in a frantic opening and they took the lead on six minutes.
Karl Hawley held the ball up well in the box and laid it off for goalkeeper Chris Lait to slam home, but Barwell were back on terms just three minutes later.
Stourbridge: Solly, Green, Scarr; Smikle, Harris (Brown 65), Pierpoint (c), Dodd, Broadhurst, Hawley, Canavan, Lait (Chilton 68).
Unused substitutes: Tye, McPike, Wedderburn.
The ball was not properly cleared by the Stourbridge defence and former Halesowen forward Iyseden Christie fed Brady Hickey, who scored from 20 yards.
Anthony Carney was threatening to run riot, shooting into the side netting before finally scoring on 34 minutes.
Christie cleverly back-heeled the ball into his path for him to hit it home.
Barwell looked to have wrapped it up on 61 minutes, when Hickey got his second from six yards out.
Kayelden Brown came off the bench to reduce the deficit with a deflected header from a Drew Canavan corner.
Brown almost forced an equaliser just a minute from time when he fired wide as Stourbridge desperately looked for a point.
