Kitching, who has been in charge for five years, will leave after next Monday's Walsall Senior Cup final with Chasetown.

Appointed boss in 2009, Kitching masterminded the Pics promotion from the Evo-Stik First Division in his first season in charge.

The club has since enjoyed three top eight finishes in the Premier Division and beat Port Vale to win the Staffordshire Senior Cup last week.

"We would like to place on record our sincere thanks for the fantastic job that Kitch has done," said club chairman John Allen.

Assistant boss Nick Amos is also set to depart.
