Quick-fire Sam Madeley makes Rushall pay
A goal in the first 30 seconds of the game proved enough for bottom of the table Droylsden to pull off a shock and gain their first away victory of the Northern League Premier Division season.
The home side played the majority of the second half with 10 men after Sam Smith was sent off for a foul on Sam Freakes.
The visitors made a sensational start by taking the lead with the first attack of the game when Sam Madeley forced the ball home.
The home side tried to get back in the game when Matt Wood ran on to a pass from James Dance but fired wide and Stan Mugisha seized on an error from Aeon Lattie but his shot hit the post.
Four minutes into the second half things got even worse for the home side when central defender Smith was sent off.
But Rushall kept up the pressure and Craig Dootson once again denied Mugisha, then Gavin Caines flicked a corner just over the bar.
With time running out there was one last chance for the home side but Liam Spink shot high and wide and Drolysden held on to end their season on a high.
