Unai Emery hopeful on Aston Villa duo's fitness
Unai Emery is hopeful Emi Martinez and Marco Asensio will both be fit to face Club Brugge on Wednesday after missing Saturday’s 1-0 win at Brentford through injury.
The pair were absent as Villa claimed just a second away Premier League win since October to boost their European aspirations.
Emery later revealed they had not been risked after complaining of pain in training on Friday.
The Villa boss said: “They were yesterday not feeling good.
“Some muscle pain, not really so important because we tested them, but they weren’t available to play today.
