The match in west London is the only league fixture in March for Unai Emery’s team, who enter the weekend sitting 10th in the table.

But that is just four points behind fifth-placed Chelsea and Cash believes there is all still to play for as the campaign heads toward its final run-in.

Villa are through to the quarter-finals of the FA Cup and have also put themselves in pole position to reach the last-eight of the Champions League with Tuesday’s 3-1 first leg win at Club Brugge.

Cash said: “I think we can all say we haven't really been fully at our best this season, as a group, really.

“But you look at it, we’re in the FA Cup quarter-finals and then obviously we have got another massive game next week.

“Then one of the main things is we want to get consistent in the league and get back into the top five.

“It's obviously nice to be in the top competitions and if you're still in them in March it is obviously a good sign. Fingers crossed we can keep going.”

Villa’s FA Cup quarter-final at Preston North End has been confirmed for Sunday, March 30. The 1.30pm kick-off will be broadcast live on BBC One.

Villa’s Premier League trip to Brighton has been moved back 24 hours as a result to Wednesday, April 2 (7.30pm).
