Had trouble with Gordon from the first whistle. Went to sleep for Newcastle’s second goal and missed a sitter in the second half. Not one of his best days.

Steady until the horrendous error which led to Newcastle’s third goal, a decisive moment in the game. Needs to step-up in Mings’ absence.

You can fix performances but you can’t easily replace a player like Mings. Villa missed his leadership in the second half.
