Unai Emery fears long term Aston Villa injury for Tyrone Mings
Unai Emery fears Tyrone Mings is facing months out after the defender suffered what appeared a serious knee injury in Saturday’s 5-1 defeat at Newcastle.
Mings left the field on a stretcher after going down in the first half and Emery admitted an initial scan “doesn’t look good”.
The England international will undergo a further scan tomorrow which will provide a clearer prognosis but the outlook is not promising.
It is the second serious blow Villa have suffered in the space of four days after Emi Buendia injured his cruciate ligament in training on Wednesday, ruling him out for six months.
