Aston Villa fans want to splash the cash on attacking players
Villa supporters want the club to focus on strengthening their attack this summer, according to the results of the Express & Star’s end-of-season survey.
More than 80 per cent of respondents reckon up front is where Unai Emery’s team most need to improve in the transfer window, with the same number believing at least four new signings are needed.
Villa are facing up to a busy 2023-24 season, which will mark the club’s return to European competition after a 13-year absence.
It follows the remarkable turnaround engineered by Emery following his appointment last November and the Spaniard, unsurprisingly, has the overwhelming backing of supporters with 94 per cent of those who took part in our survey happy with the job he has done.
