Aston Villa Premier League 2020/21 fixture list: Dean Smith's side set for later start
Aston Villa's 2020/21 season is set to get going with a postponed fixture, meaning Dean Smith's side earn an extra break before kicking off against Sheffield United at home.
The opening game, scheduled to take place against Manchester City on the opening weekend, has been postponed due to Pep Guardiola's side's European exploits last season - meaning the Blades will be Villa's first fixture of the campaign.
Villa secured their Premier League status on the final day of the 2019/20 season, and will kick off this campaign with one of the toughest trips on the calendar.
Villa will have two derbies in just seven days to contend with in a hectic December, with both Wolves and West Brom hosting the Villans over what promises to be a hectic month.
They'll host Wolves in March, whilst West Brom make the trip to Villa Park in late April.
Following those two clashes, Villa's Boxing Day fixture will see them play at home against Crystal Palace, whilst a trip to Old Trafford awaits on January 2.
Villa's Premier League season ends with a tough clash against Chelsea at B6, with May looking a particularly tough final month of fixtures.
The Villans will face Manchester United, Spurs and the Blues over the month, with away trips to Everton and Crystal Palace on the agenda too.
They'll have a great chance to pick up points ahead of Christmas though, with Villa taking on Brighton and West Ham in November, whilst home clashes with Newcastle, Burnley and Palace take place ahead of the new year.
Villa will see two other previous Championship rivalries re-kindled, with clashes against Leeds taking place in October and February, whilst Fulham take on Smith's side in September and April.
