Aston Villa announce Carabao Cup final ticket tiers
Villa have introduced new tiers of Carabao Cup final ticket sales following complaints that some regular fans could miss out.
The first sales window opens at 5pm today for season ticket holders who have had their tickets for a minimum of the last five years consecutively.
Then, next Tuesday, a second window opens for remaining season ticket holders.
However, following that window, the club have introduced a sales period from Tuesday February 18 allowing Claret Club and Cub members who have attended eight or more home games so far this season, subject to availability.
Then a further window will follow two days later for Claret and Cub members who have attended five or more home games.
A fourth window for all Claret and Cub members will then open, on February 24, before any remaining tickets will be offered to any fans who have attended three or more home games this season, from Tuesday, February 25, at 5pm.
Villa have been handed 33,095 tickets for the clash with Manchester City on March 1.
They have 30,000 season ticket holders this season.
The club have changed the criteria after criticism from some fans that supporters who had attended all or most home games this season may not be able to get tickets.
Originally, any tickets left over from season ticket holders' allocation were assigned to Claret and Cub members irrespective of how many games they had attended, prompting fears some latecomers would have access to tickets before fans who had attended several games this season.
