Aston Villa in talks to sign former West Brom starlet Louie Barry
Aston Villa are in talks to sign one of England's brightest young prospects in former Albion starlet, Louie Barry in a deal worth a reported £3m.
The 16-year-old is highly touted, and remains in the middle of a transfer saga involving Albion and Barcelona, with the Baggies still waiting for payment for the youngster.
Barry departed The Hawthorns at the end of his contract last summer, meaning Barcelona owed Albion a flat rate fee of just £235,000. However, with Albion still awaiting payment, they've contacted FIFA to secure payment.
But now the youngster could be headed back to the Midlands, with Villa leading the race for his signature.
It's being reported that Barry has become unsettled in the Spanish city, with a number of personnel changes at the club leaving him interested in a return to the UK.
The striker had previously turned down a lucrative move to PSG in favour of the Catalan club.
Villa academy manager Mark Harrison worked with Barry during his time at The Hawthorns, whilst the youngster and his family are fans of the Villans.
Should he join Villa, it's understood he'll head straight into the club's U23s set up, as opposed to staking a claim for a first-team spot immediately.
