Aston Villa promoted to the Premier League

Anwar El-Ghazi and John McGinn put Villa 2-0 ahead before Derby's late strike ensured a nervy ending for the 38,000 travelling fans.

Despite a late flurry from Frank Lampard's side, Villa held on to gain promotion back to the top flight at the third time of asking.

Villa suffered play-off heartbreak last season, losing at the same stage to Fulham, themselves relegated this season having struggled in the top flight.
