Dean Smith’s men have reeled off eight straight wins to surge from mid-table obscurity up to fifth with four games remaining.

The biggest crowd of the season at Villa Park saw them beat Bristol City on Saturday, ahead of an Easter weekend double with Bolton and Millwall.

Taylor, who is enjoying a new lease of life at left-back under Smith, said: “Under this manager, I don’t think we have had one boring game to be honest – and that is the way it is going to be from us until the end of the season. It’s great to see.

“We’re selling out our games and I think everyone comes to watch us knowing they are going to see an exciting game of football.”
