Kortney Hause happy to show his versatility for Aston Villa

The 23-year-old has impressed at left-back after breaking into Dean Smith’s team earlier this month.

Hause, who joined from Wolves in January, has played most of his career at centre-back but insists he is happy to help the team wherever needed.

He said: “I’ve been playing defence all my life and for me, defending is defending.

“I feel I’m a decent athlete so I can play across the backline – and also on the wing if needed. I’m fairly dynamic and mobile.”

Hause has rebounded following a disappointing debut in Villa’s 3-0 defeat at Wigan. He added: “I understand at Wigan I wasn’t good enough. But I had to just put that behind me and carry on working hard in training.”
