Aston Villa defender James Bree heads to Ipswich Town for the rest of the season
Aston Villa full-back James Bree has left the club on-loan for the remainder of the season.
The 21-year-old joins Ipswich Town having struggled to hold down a regular starting spot since joining Villa in 2017.
Bree has registered 11 appearances this season, but departs for Portman Road with the likes of Alan Hutton and Ahmed Elmohamady also on the books at B6.
His exit adds to a busy day at Villa Park, with Tyrone Mings already signing up, whilst more incomings are a possibility, with a move for French full-back Frederic Guilbert likely.
He's set to join in a £4.4m deal which will see him loaned back to the French club for the rest of the season.
Meanwhile, Jake Doyle-Hayes has also departed Villa, joining Cambridge on-loan - linking up with former Villans assistant Colin Calderwood.
Villa already allowed Scott Hogan, Rushian Hepburn-Murphy, Corey Blackett-Taylor, Callum O'Hare and Ross McCormack to leave in temporary deals this month.
