James Bree hopes back-to-back home games can cure Aston Villa's lack of self belief
Villa’s James Bree admits the squad are suffering from a lack of self-belief and hopes back-to-back home games can help them get their season back on track.
The 21-year-old said: “It’s a great time for the home crowd to get behind us and give us that little push that we need at the minute.
“We need to start believing in ourselves again, once the goals start coming, and we get solid at the back, we will be flying.
“We need to go back to performances about four or five games ago, when the gaffer first came in, get a bit of energy back around the place.”
Despite recent results, Bree remains positive for the rest of the season.
He took heart from Saturday’s opponents Hull, who have played their way into form after a bad start to the season.
Bree added: “They’re the most in-form team in the Championship, but you see how badly they started the season, anything can change in this league.
“There are 19 games left. Anyone can put a good run together, if the confidence is there.”
