Aston Villa dealt injury blow after Axel Tuanzebe ruled out with foot injury
Villa have been dealt a blow after defender Axel Tuanzebe was ruled out for several weeks with a foot injury.
The on loan Manchester United star was absent from the team for Sunday’s game with Leeds and boss Dean Smith confirmed he is expected to miss an extended period.
Tuanzebe had impressed playing alongside James Chester in the heart of Villa’s defence for the first 10 games of Smith’s reign at Villa Park.
James Bree, who had not made an appearance since October 6, deputised at centre-back against Leeds.
Villa will now consider recalling Tommy Elphick from his loan spell at Hull when the January transfer window opens next week.
