Villa have gone four league games without victory but were sixth in the table before today's games.

They head to Brentford tonight, on the back of a 2-2 draw against Sheffield United on Saturday.

"I have played in this division a lot and it's important to not get too high with wins and too down with the losses or draws," said Chester.

"It can turn around fairly quickly.

"I think that had you told us we'd be in the play-offs around Christmas time, we would have took that.

"We're just disappointed we didn't win the game (on Saturday).

"Up until Sheffield United scored, it was one of our best performances of the season.

"The gaffer said at half-time there wasn't an awful lot wrong, it was just the mistakes that had cost us the lead.

"That has happened over the past couple of weeks. but it's not something that happens too often."

Chester has plenty of experience in the division, from his time at Hull City too, and insists Villa will not let their confidence levels drop.

"There's no other way to go about it," he said.

"Like I say, the games come thick and fast and you can soon go on a run and pick up."

He added: "If we can cut the mistakes out and produce performances like the one that got us 2-0 up, I'm sure we'll turn it around."
