Poll: Aston Villa fans call for Steve Bruce to leave

Bruce has been in the Villa hot seat since October 2016, but has failed to revitalise the club despite bringing in numerous signings over two transfer windows.

And in a poll conducted by the Express & Star, just under two thirds of Villa fans believe his time at the club should be up.

Previously guiding Hull City and Blues to success in the second tier, Bruce was hailed as the ideal appointment following the sacking of Roberto Di Matteo, although the pressure is now piling on him following a return of seven points from seven games.

John Terry is the bookies' current favourite to replace Bruce should he leave, with Wales manager Chris Coleman and ex-boss Martin O'Neill also listed as potential replacements.
