A delay in distributing new season cards means many fans are still waiting for theirs to arrive, despite the season now being less than 48 hours away.

To avoid further disruption, the club are planning to distribute one-off paper replacements to supporters still without their tickets by the time of the game.

Three dedicated ticket windows around Villa Park will open at 9am, though supporters are advised to arrive early to avoid queueing.

A club statement read: “If you haven’t received your season card by the time you check your post on Saturday, first off, we apologise for the inconvenience this causes for you.

“You won’t have to miss the game – just head to Villa Park to pick up paper tickets on this one-off occasion.

“We have three dedicated windows for these season ticket reprints – they will be clearly signed and open from 9am.

“There will be a separate queue management system and it will be manned by experienced staff.

“Our Fan Squad will be walking up and down the queue to answer any of your queries as you wait.

“Just remember to have your Fan ID ready for when you reach the window!

“You’ll then receive a paper ticket and you’re ready to watch the boys in claret and blue against the Tigers.

“Our advice is to arrive well of advance of 4pm to pick up your replacement tickets to avoid congestion.”
