Luke Hatfield assesses Villa's final five games of the season.

Cardiff City (H) - April 10th

Kicking off Villa's five game run-in is a home game with Cardiff City.

Last season's fixture saw Steve Bruce's unbeaten run continue with a 3-1 win, and if all goes to plan, a similar result would fit the bill nicely.

Neil Warnock's side aren't expected to threaten for promotion this season and could be doing battle at the wrong end of the table should they struggle.

Mots fans will be expecting three points.

Prediction: Villa win

Leeds United (H) - April 14th

With the revolving door continuing to spin at Elland Road, Thomas Christiansen is the man trying to help steady the ship.

An unknown quantity - if he can recapture some of the form from last season he could see Leeds battling for the top spots.

However, that may prove a step too far.

If Villa are challenging for promotion come the final games, you'd expect the home backing to help Bruce's men out.

Prediction: Villa win

Ipswich Town (A) - April 21st

A tough task for any side in the Championship.

Ipswich may not play the best football you've ever seen, but they're resolute - especially at home.

It might be a case of Villa trying to break down the Tractor Boys, as it was last season in the eventual 0-0 draw.

Steve Bruce will be hoping for more luck this time around.

Prediction: Draw

Derby County (H) - April 28th

The toughest clash of Villa's home straight - and potentially a title-decider.

Derby are being led by former Blues boss Gary Rowett and are many fans' dark horses for promotion this season.

If both sides are battling it out for the automatic promotion places or a play-off spot, this is a game which shouldn't be missed.

Being at home will certainly help Steve Bruce's cause, especially with it being the final game at B6 this season too.

Expect to see this one moved for live coverage if both campaigns go to plan.

Prediction: Draw

Millwall (A) - May 6th

The final game of the season, and despite being a tough place to go, you can imagine worse games to end on.

Whilst fans will be hoping to see Villa battling for promotion, it could be the opposite for the Millwall faithful.

If the Lions are fighting for their lives, this one could be a testy encounter.

But if things are already sealed for them, the visitors could be set to end with a bang.

Prediction: Villa win
