The 59-year-old has also been fined £10,000 after admitting an FA charge of misconduct via social media.
Wyness admitted retweeting a comment which was abusive and/or insulting and/or brought the game into disrepute contrary to FA rule E3.
The FA also deemed the breach, which occurred on May 8, to be “aggravated” as it included a reference to disability.
Wyness attended a disciplinary hearing at Wembley Stadium earlier this week and will have a seven day window to appeal the punishment once an FA Commission have filed a written reason for their judgement.
