Wolves and Aston Villa youngsters feature in England U21 squad
Both Wolves and Aston Villa have seen youngsters called up to England's 28-player training camp ahead of the European U21 Championships, set to take place in June.
Enigmatic Villa midfielder, Jack Grealish is the only player in claret and blue to earn a call-up, whilst Wolves duo Kortney Hause and Dominic Iorfa are also included.
Grealish turned down the chance to play for Ireland on the senior stage after committing to England in 2015, but is yet to be named in a first-team squad with the nation. Both Hause and Iorfa have featured for the U21s before.
All three players will spend five days at the camp, which will be based at St. George's Park next week.
England U21s head coach Aidy Boothroyd will be able to take 23 players to Poland for the tournament, with a squad set to be named ahead of the June 6th deadline.
In a statement on the FA website regarding the announcement, Boothroyd was eager to get his young squad together.
"We’re really looking forward to seeing everybody again and things will start to crank up a notch." he said.
"It’s good to get them all back in together, get re-focused and make sure we’re prepared properly for the Euros.
“We’ve got players at different stages, we have lads who have played 40-game seasons who will need a different sort of conditioning to the guys who have played nine or ten games.
“And we have players who have been coming off the bench and playing bit-parts for their teams and players who have played in different leagues as well, so we have a real mix in terms of fitness levels.”
