Could Man City look to sell to the Midlands this summer?

We're not saying that they're true, just that they're out there.

Wolves

Wolves and Leeds are battling it out to sign Celtic striker Leigh Griffiths.

The forward has been prolific for the Hoops, scoring 18 goals for them this season in all competitions - linking him with a move back to the Black Country.

The 26-year-old served with Wolves between 2011 and 2014, scoring 12 times for the club.

Meanwhile, interest in Preston forward Jordan Hugill has cooled, due to the ongoing managerial drama at Molineux.

The 24-year-old has hit the back of the net 13 times for the Lilywhites this season, with rumours of a £2m bid in the offing.

However, due to Paul Lambert's future being in question, any deal has been put off for now.

West Brom

West Brom are set to join the race for Manchester City striker Kelechi Iheanacho, who's also a target for Leicester City.

The 20-year-old burst onto the scene in the 2015/16 season, before making 29 appearances in total this season - bagging seven goals.

The youngster is also drawing interest from the continent too, as a move away from the Etihad looks like a possibility for the Nigeria international.

Tony Pulis is also thought to be keen on a loan deal for Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek.

The promising starlet has failed to work his way into Antonio Conte's plans over the 2016/17 season, meaning a loan move could be on the cards.

Chelsea are thought to be interested in loaning the youngster as opposed to selling, and The Hawthorns could prove a useful location if he's seeking first-team opportunities.

Aston Villa

Steve Bruce is being tipped to move for Egyptian international Ahmed Elmohamady this summer.

The wing-back is known well by the Villa boss having worked with him at Sunderland and Hull City - and given the latter's relegation, could be set to depart.

The move would offer Albert Adomah some competition on the wing, whilst also acting as a solid back-up should Villa be in need of cover at right-back.

Meanwhile, one man who could be leaving Villa this summer is Tommy Elphick, with local rivals Birmingham City linked with a move for the experienced defender.

The centre-back was brought in under Roberto Di Matteo, but has failed to hold down his place at Villa Park - with a move from the club likely.

Villa fans are unwilling to see business with Blues conducted by Bruce, although if the price is right a deal could be made.

Walsall

Walsall have been rumoured to be considering a move for Falkirk full-back, Luke Leahy.

The 24-year-old has made 38 appearances for the Scottish club this season, scoring three times.

Jon Whitney went on a scouting mission to Scotland over the course of the season, and the Coventry-born defender is thought to have been a player which the boss kept tabs on.
