Marley Watkins is on the market this summer. Could he be headed to the Midlands? (AMA)

We're not saying that they're true, just that they're out there.

Wolves

Wolves are reportedly battling the likes of Barnsley and Ipswich Town for the signature of Brighton midfielder Rohan Ince.

The 6ft 3in defensive midfielder is unlikely to make the cut for the Seagulls in the Premier League after heading out on-loan to Swindon Town for the back end of the 2016/17 season - meaning a move could be on the cards.

The 24-year-old is also the third cousin of former Wolves and England midfielder Paul Ince, giving him a strong link with Molineux.

West Brom

West Brom are set to offer £8m for Celtic midfielder Stuart Armstrong, according to reports.

The 25-year-old midfielder trains with both Darren Fletcher and James Morrison during international sessions with Scotland - and is apparently impressing Tony Pulis with his performances for the Scottish Champions.

The creative midfielder has scored 15 times for Celtic this season, after joining the Hoops in 2015.

Meanwhile, Pulis is also holding an interest in Sporting Lisbon defender Ruben Semedo.

The 23-year-old is apparently being shopped by Lisbon, with a number of clubs interested in his services.

Everton are reported to be sniffing, whilst bids from Newcastle and Southampton could also be forthcoming, meaning the Baggies will need to act fast to secure a deal for the former Portugal U21 defender.

Aston Villa

After raiding Barnsley for Conor Hourihane and James Bree in January, Steve Bruce has now been linked for Tykes midfielder Marley Watkins.

The 26-year-old is set to leave Oakwell after refusing a new deal with the club, making him a free agent in the summer.

Villa face some competition for him though, with Cardiff City, Ipswich Town and Celtic all linked with a move too.

Meanwhile, veteran defender Christopher Samba, who's been training with the club, could be set to cross the divide to play for Birmingham City.

Steve Bruce has offered the former Blackburn and QPR defender the chance to continue training with Villa in pre-season, but is yet to offer any kind of contract.

However, Harry Redkapp is reportedly keen on being reunited with the centre-back as he looks to help Blues climb the table next season.

Walsall

All quiet at the Banks's.
